Studied with Alfons Riedl in Bubenreuth from 1982 to 1984. Master's exam HWK Nuremberg and set up his own workshop in Erlangen.

Silver medalist for a cello bow at the Cello Festival in Manchester 1992; Gold medalist for a viola bow at the international Mittenwald competition in 1993, and a Gold medalist at the VSA in 1996 for a cello bow and Silver medal for his violin bow in the same competition.
