String Festival Solos are collections of transcriptions by Samuel Applebaum. In two volumes for each instrument, the solos are in progressive order of difficulty. Each volume contains nine solos - all classic titles in the Applebaum teaching repertoire. Some of these have been hard to find. Now here they are in tow economical collections. Volume One progresses from Level One to Level Two; Volume Two, from Level Two to Level Three. The solos are useful for teaching technique, dynamics, phrasing, and overall musicianship.
