Mozart - Three Divermenti for String Quartet (BAR) publicado por Bärenreiter.
KV 136-138
We do not know whether the Divertimenti KV 136-138 by the young Mozart were composed as orchestral works for a choral instrumentation or whether they are works scored for soloists that stand at the beginning of the then new genre of string quartet.
There are indications of both in the tradition of the works. On the one hand, the present edition of parts with the original text of the New Mozart Edition completes the series of Mozart's string quartets in individual editions, and on the other hand, the individually available duplicated parts and the study score (TP 278) make it possible to perform the Divertimenti as orchestral works with the material of the New Mozart Edition.
