Solos & Etudes, Book II is a collection of 32 solos and 38 etudes for the string class and is written in a unison format for violin, viola, cello, and string bass. This supplement features exercises designed to reinforce technical development and also provides material for musical growth and enrichment. A wide variety of styles and composers are represented including original solos and etudes by Robert S. Frost and Gerald E. Anderson. This book is correlated with All for Strings, Book II, pages 5-38, and can be used concurrently with Book II, or as a review upon completion of any string method. The unison format provides all string instruments with each complete solo and etude allowing for suitability in both string class and individual study settings. Solos & Etudes, Book II is also published for viola, cello, and string bass. Piano accompaniments are provided in the Conductor's Score. However, the accompaniments are also published in a separate book so that they are available to students for private, study, recitals, and additional practice.
