Shipping Policy
Orders placed between Monday and Friday are shipped within 24 hours. Orders placed after 3:00 pm on Friday will be shipped the following week. You will be sent a confirmation by email when your order is shipped.
If for any reason we cannot fulfill your order within 24 hours, you will be contacted by email or phone and alternative arrangements will be made.
In the unlikely event that we are unable to fulfill your order within a satisfactory amount of time, you will have the option to cancel your order at no charge.
Shipping rates
Unless otherwise specified, thesoundpost.com uses Canada Post and Purolator Courier (with their international partners EMS and DHL) for all shipments. Accurate shipping quotes are provided in real time based on your shipping address and the dimensions and weight of your order. All items are shipped from our warehouse in Toronto, Canada.
We have gone to great lengths to be able to offer affordable shipping to most locations worldwide. If you feel that the rates being quoted do not meet your expectations for any reason, feel free to contact us toll-free (North America) at 1-800-363-1512 and we will be happy to discuss alternative shipping options.

Due to the high frequency of fraudulent credit card transactions and theft in certain countries, we reserve the right to require prepayment in certain instances, at our discretion. If your order is deemed to be high-risk, we will send you an email requesting prepayment by internationally recognized bank draft or wire transfer.
If you do not see your country listed above you may still order from our online store via fax or email. However, we reserve the right to require prepayment by internationally recognized bank draft or wire transfer.
Oversize
The following items are considered oversize:
- Cellos
- Basses
- Cello cases
- Bass cases
- Other extremely heavy, large or bulky items
It is not possible to provide a cost-effective quote for these items based on an automated system. Therefore, these items will be considered individually and a quote will be sent to you via email.
